Jim Brock is a graduate of the University of Arizona. He has been studying butterflies for more than forty years. The past twenty years his focus has been on learning the life histories and caterpillar foodplants of butterflies. He is the co-author of Butterflies of North America (2003. Houghton Mifflin) and of Butterflies of Southeastern Arizona (1991. Sonoran Arthropod Studies Institute, Tucson) and of A Field Guide to Butterfly Caterpillars (2004. Oxford University Press). Besides leading numerous tours in the western United States for the past twelve years he has led tours to Costa Rica, Mexico and Brasil. He lives in Tucson, AZ with his wife Joan. |
